Oregon Game Project Challenge
In addition to build robots for FIRST competitions, our team participates in other activities throughout the year to learn skills we'll need during build season, such as brainstorming, teamwork, and working under a deadline.
This spring some members from our team participated in the first annual Oregon Game Project Challenge and created an educational computer game in six weeks to teach its players about different types of clean energy. Using the skills that we've learned as a FIRST Robotics team, we won the championship award at the competition in May 2008 for the combination of our game, our presentations to the judges and other teams, and gracious professionalism.
